GWHS 2020 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Laidley Field. Graduates need to arrive at Laidley Field at 8:00 AM in their cap and gown. Business casual dress is recommended under your gown *** Ladies - high heels are not recommend because it is very difficult to walk on the turf in heels.*** We cannot guarantee the safety of personal items at Laidley Field, so please don't bring anything with you. Gates will open for your immediate families to enter to be seated at 9 AM. Social Distancing must be observed in the stands. There is no limit to who can attend, but the recommendation is for immediate family only. WCHS will live stream the commencement ceremony to make it available to everyone. Graduates- plan to follow all safety guidelines as we will be practicing social distancing recommended by the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department and Kanawha County Schools. Attached is the 2020 graduates seating assignments for the ceremony. Please familiarize yourself with what row & seat you are assigned and who is seated next to you. If you did not come to GW to pick up your senior packet at GW, which included your diploma, it will be at Laidley Field the morning of graduation.
